United Way's funding supports a variety of social initiatives in our community. Our 2019 United Way Campaign focused on education and its role in fighting poverty.
Education provides fundamental tools and skills needed to secure a rewarding careeer. In our region, those tools and skills are largely contributed by programs funded by United Way. We are proud to advocate for education and for all of the incredible work United Way does to make it more accessible.
How to give
Our 2019 NAIT Workplace Campaign has ended, but you can still make a gift if you want to support the great work the United Way is doing in our community. Make a one-time donation or set up a monthly gift today: myunitedway.ca/give/.
Want to see your gift to the United Way go even further? Learn more about the Everyday Hero Program. For as little as $1 a day for one year, you can double the power of your donation.
The Edmonton Community Foundation is partnering with United Way to encourage every day giving by matching eligible donations for the next three years to a max of $365,000/year. The foundation exists to help the people of Edmonton and area by encouraging philanthropy and funding charitable activities.
New Everyday Heroes, donating between $365 and $1,199, will see their gift matched dollar-for-dollar. Existing Everyday Heroes who lift their gift up to $1,199 will see the difference of their increase matched.
Want to see how far your gift can really go? The Tools for School program is one of many initiatives that receives support from the United Way. They use that funding to provide school supplies for kids who may not otherwise have everything they need to do well.
