NAIT Announces Search for new President and CEO
NAIT has launched the search to recruit our next President and CEO, following May’s announcement that Laura Jo Gunter will retire from the role in October 2027.
The selection of a new President and CEO is one of the Board of Governor’s most important duties. It is taken with the care and rigour required for a decision of this significance to the NAIT community, in keeping with our Vision, Promises and Values. We will put the needs of staff and students at the heart of our decision-making. Their valuable perspectives will inform the qualities and experiences they look for in a leader who can guide NAIT through the period of growth and transformation ahead, including the continued development of our Main Campus. We will share information on engagement opportunities in the months ahead.
To help guide this process, NAIT has opened up a Request for Proposals (RFP) for executive search firms to support this important work. This RFP will be open until July 7, 2026, 2 p.m. MDT.
