The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) has been recognized as one of Alberta’s top employers for the sixth consecutive year
Alberta’s Top Employers is an annual competition that recognizes 70 employers that offer exceptional places to work. The workplaces are not ranked in any particular order. NAIT has been named a top employer every year since 2012.
The judges offered a number of reasons for selecting NAIT, including:
- Onsite amenities like a quiet room for meditation and religious observance
- Fitness facilities complete with basketball, squash and racquetball courts, a climbing wall, an indoor running track, and sauna
Also noted was that NAIT encourages employees to lead healthy, active lives, and offers health and wellness spending accounts, as well as monthly staff wellness sessions on a variety of topics including healthy eating, relationships and mindfulness.
