Project Phasing
To minimize disruption to campus operations and maintain access to services, the South Lobby Redevelopment will be completed in phases.
Phase 1 will focus on the north and east areas of the O Building. Once this work is substantially complete, Phase 2 will focus on the remaining project areas and final finishes.
This phased approach allows construction to progress efficiently while helping ensure students, employees and visitors can continue to access campus services throughout the project.
What to Expect During Construction
As construction progresses, students, employees and visitors may notice changes to building access, wayfinding routes and nearby work areas. Some phases of construction may also result in temporary noise, visual barriers or service relocations.
The project team is committed to providing advance notice of significant impacts and will share regular updates throughout construction. Information about access changes, temporary relocations and construction activities will be posted on this site as details become available.

Why is this space being redeveloped?
The South Lobby Redevelopment will transform a long-underused space into the heart of Student Support on campus -- bringing essential student services together in one place and making it easier for students to get the support they need, when they need it.

Throughway access will be maintained through the construction process. Please follow onsite signage.
How long will construction take?
Construction is expected to to be complete Fall 2028.
