Community and Belonging Resource Centre

The Centre for Community and Belonging runs a Resource Center that is open to students and staff.

The goals of the center are to:   

• Build a sense of welcoming and belonging for students and staff    
• Foster connections with and between students and staff    
• Increase student and staff access to resources     
• Collect feedback from students and staff about their experiences at NAIT    
• Connect students and staff with supports from other areas of NAIT

Pronouns and chosen names

Everyone has pronouns.

Using and respecting people’s chosen names and pronouns is an important part of fostering an inclusive learning or working environment for all members of the NAIT community.

As part of NAIT’s commitment to providing an inclusive, respectful and safe learning and working environment, all staff and students now have the option to add their pronouns and chosen name to their NAIT profile.

Commemorate  Days of Significance

NAIT's students, staff and community members come from all backgrounds. When we see our culture and identity reflected, we’re more likely to feel we belong. The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion encourages you to commemorate days of significance to be inclusive of members of diverse communities.
