Admissions

Non-competitive Entrance

Many of NAIT’s programs have non-competitive entrance requirements and admit students on a first-qualified, first-admitted approach.

First-qualified

How first-qualified works

Applicants who meet minimum entrance requirements are admitted according to the date their application and all required supporting documents (such as transcripts) are received.

How you can identify if a program is first-qualified

If a program does not list “Competitive Entrance Requirements” within its admission requirements, then the program follows the first-qualified, first-admitted admissions process.

Meeting general admission requirements

To meet the general admission requirements, you must:

  • Meet all minimum entrance requirements of the program to which you are applying. See specific requirements on program pages for details.
  • Meet NAIT's English Language Proficiency requirements.
  • In some cases, programs have additional requirements, recommended courses, or considerations for admission. See your specific program page for details.
