For Employers

What is Career Connect and why should I use it?

One of the best ways to connect with NAIT students, and alumni is through our FREE job board and employment portal, Career Connect! You will need to create an employer account via this link:
https://nait-csm.symplicity.com/employers/index.php?signin_tab=0

Your account will be reviewed and approved manually before full access is granted. You’ll receive an email within a few business days once approved. After approval, you can post jobs, request information sessions, and apply to hiring fairs and events. All major event notifications are sent through this system.

I created a Career Connect account but cannot access the site yet. Why?

Our Employer Services team is still reviewing your account information. This is a thorough process that needs to happen in order for us to identify legitimate employers, prevent scammers, and protect our students and alumni. This reviewing process usually takes a few business days, and sometimes our team might need to call you to verify information.

How do I post a job opportunity and how long does it take to get approved?

Once you are logged into Career Connect, open the navigation on the left side of the screen. Click on “Jobs” >  “Job Postings” > scroll down a bit and click on “Post a Job”. Enter the information and click “Submit”. NOTE: All sections marked with a red asterisk (*) need to be answered.

Your posting will show as pending until it is approved. All job postings need to be manually approved to ensure they align with our Posting Policies (https://www.nait.ca/nait/business-industry/employer-services/career-posting-policies). This process usually takes 1-3 business days, potentially longer for Work Integrated Learning opportunities. Once approved, you will receive an email confirmation, and students/alumni will be able to view and apply to your job posting.

How long will my job posting be visible to students?

Postings are listed for a maximum of 30 days. You will be sent an email 7 days prior to the closing date asking whether you wish to extend the end date. If you need to close the job earlier than the deadline, you can do that in the system by editing the job posting “Closing Date”. Simply change the deadline date to yesterday’s date and submit.

What kind of events can I attend to recruit and meet students?

  • Hiring Fair – this event gives employers a unique opportunity to meet highly motivated students and recent graduates who bring fresh ideas, cutting-edge skills, and a passion for growth. By participating, you’ll not only fill your vacant positions with qualified candidates but also build your brand among the next generation of professionals. NAIT offers two Hiring Fairs throughout the academic year, in October and February. Please create a Career Connect account to be notified when applications open up. To request one of these, please log into NAIT Career Connect. On the left, under “Events”, click >  “Information Sessions” and click the navy > “Request Information Session” button. Fill in as many details as possible. NOTE: We only facilitate these sessions September – March and requests must be received at least three weeks prior to your preferred event date. This is a mandatory requirement for all employer information sessions and recruitment requests to ensure we can plan and market the event accordingly.
  • Industry Nights – these events are program-specific and vary in timing and facilitation. Please review our website https://www.nait.ca/employer-services and connect with NAIT Employer Services if you are interested.
