Course Overview

Network firewalls are crucial components of a security infrastructure because they serve as one of the primary lines of defense in a multi-layered network, protecting against unauthorized access and malicious threats from the internet or other untrusted networks. Building on the foundational knowledge from the previous course, this advanced network security course focuses on the design and implementation of multiple firewall layouts with routing between networks using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). In the course, you will gain hands-on experience in setting up and managing multiple layers of firewalls to enhance security and facilitate secure communication channels across different network segments. Additionally, you will discover the methodologies and tools essential for diagnosing and monitoring the security of network infrastructure. By integrating theory with practical labs, you will troubleshoot and optimize VPN configurations and firewall operations, ensuring robust defense mechanisms against potential network threats. Designed for network administrators, security professionals, and IT personnel, this course aims to strengthen expertise in complex network security systems. With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to implement a network firewall and apply various techniques to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability between network firewalls using routing protocols through hands-on practical exercises.
