Course Overview

Due to the potential vulnerability of certain public key encryption methods to a quantum computer attack in the next 5-15 years, there is an immediate need for data encryption that is 100% secure by quantum physics. Learners will explore real world applications of Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNGs), as well as an encryption method called Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) that is theoretically 100% secure. The security of current distributed smart devices and IoT could be significantly improved. This course will shed light on the most promising intended uses for these quantum technologies. Please note that this course is offered by NAIT in partnership with Qubo Consulting Corp. Accordingly, this outline originates from (was created by) Qubo Consulting Corp.
