Explore the complexities of oil sands tailings management in this hybrid 12-hour course led by Dr. Heather Kaminsky, NSERC Industrial Research Chair for Colleges in Oil Sands Tailings Management, and Simon Sun, Research Lead with NAIT's Centre for Energy & Environmental Sustainability.

This course provides an overview of the current state of oil sands tailings management and examines the fundamentals of controlling fluid fine tailings formation and the technologies used. Delve into testing methods for evaluating new technologies and explore the importance of robustness in solid-liquid separation processes.

With the knowledge gained in this course, you will be able to evaluate solid-liquid separation methods and assess the effectiveness of different technologies in oil sands tailings management.
