Course Overview

As the only competency-based risk management credential, the RIMS-CRMP certification demonstrates your performance ability and technical knowledge. Prepare for the exam and connect with other risk professionals in this prep course.

You will learn about the following five core competencies of a risk professional:
• Domain 1: Analyzing the Organizational Model
• Domain 2: Designing Organizational Risk Strategies
• Domain 3: Implementing Risk Process
• Domain 4: Developing Organizational Risk Competency
• Domain 5: Supporting Decision Making
• Exam Preparation

Additionally, participate in breakout sessions, prepare with case studies, and answer sample exam questions. These exercises include:
• Group discussion on the analysis of operations including what management wants and Rewards.
• Group discussion on how to define success measures and aligning risk strategy with organizational goals.
• Group work on identifying examples of KPIs and KRIs and their connection to organizational objectives.
• Exercise on how to identify techniques of risk analysis applicable to the case study.
• Sample test questions.
• Group exercise to identify and apply risk solutions to the case study.
• Group exercise to identify ways to engage an organization’s risk network using case

  • Hyflex: Where: Choice to attend in-person or online meetings. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. For each class, students choose to attend in-person with the instructor or online at a specific time.
  • Remote Live Delivery: Where: Online with instructor. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Instruction is delivered at set times online. Students do not come to campus.
