Delve into theoretical and clinical skills necessary to take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts. Explain principles of impression and bite registration materials, including equipment and supplies necessary to perform the tasks. Identify the preparation required for the patient, the sequence of obtaining a set of diagnostic preliminary impressions, and sequence of obtaining a bite registration.
The skills gained will enable you to perform a full diagnostic cast. You are required to complete an online component prior to the 16 hours of clinical practice.
Entrance requirements: Proof of current registration with the appropriate regulatory body or confirmation of attempted Clinical Practical Evaluation with the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB).
