Course Overview

Discover the fundamental roles and indications of breast sonography, emphasizing the anatomy and physiology of the breast and its correlation with sonographic appearances. Improve your expertise in ultrasound equipment specifications, optimal patient positioning, and comparisons between mammography and sonographic imaging. Apply the criteria of the Sonographic BIRADS lexicon to evaluate both solid and cystic masses. Gain insights into evaluating inflammatory and non-malignant conditions in lactating and non-lactating breasts, including sonography of the male breast. Integrate knowledge of surgical interventions such as breast augmentation and reduction, and interventional procedures to enhance your sonographic practice.

With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to confidently apply breast sonography theory to improve your practice.

This activity has been reviewed and approved by Sonography Canada. Participants may claim up to 45 Sonography Based CPD Credits for completing this activity.
