Course Overview
Blood-borne pathogens are a health and safety risk to workers in occupations that require close contact or exposure to blood or bodily fluids. Learn the different types of blood-borne pathogens, the risk of infection, proper post-exposure protocol, and infection control procedures to minimize exposure. The skills you gain in this course will allow you to protect yourself as well as the people you are in contact with from pathogens and infection.
This course is relevant to healthcare workers, dental workers, tattoo artists, emergency responders, childcare and school workers, hotel housekeepers, and those whose work exposes them to blood or blood components.
