Course Overview

A successful optician understands both their patients’ visual needs and the steps required to meet these needs. With the skills gained in this course, you, as an optician, will be able to meet your patients’ visual needs by assessing their medical and prescription histories and performing a preliminary assessment.

Compile patient histories, including past contact lens prescriptions and measurements. Review the effects of medication on ocular health, visual assessments, infection control within the office and process of patient referrals to other health professional

Candidate must be a licensed optician or graduate of an Opticianry program.
