Course Overview
Learn to manage your response to difficult situations. In the workplace, you are sometimes faced with criticism, anger, difficultly and hostility. The way you react can either positively impact or negatively escalate what happens next. Use this course to explore and understand difficult situations and learn to utilize strategies such as:
- understanding different behavior types
- drawing distinctions between person and the problem
- identifying influences that create difficult behaviour
- using effective neutral language
- drawing boundaries, creating space and clarifying roles
- giving constructive criticism and managing personal criticisms
