Course Extension Application
Important Course Policy Information
Students who were not successful in completing the required components, including rewrites and lab dates, within EMRE200 and/or MFRS100 during the scheduled term may apply for an extension to complete outstanding course requirements.

Before submitting an extension request, please review the following details.
Extension Details
  • Application: Please answer the questions below
  • Fee: $500
  • Includes: One pre-scheduled group remediation session with an instructor
Attendance Requirement
To qualify for an extension:
  • Students cannot miss more than two lab days
  • Missing more than two lab days will result in ineligibility for an extension
Important Considerations
  • Submission of an application does not guarantee approval
  • Students must submit their extension application no later than 3 days after their course end date. Late submissions may not be considered.
  • Dates of extensions are pre-scheduled. If a student is unable to attend, they will be required to complete their rewrites through the NAIT Assessment Centre for a fee. Lab dates are not accommodated through the NAIT Assessment Centre.
  • All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
  • The $500 extension fee applies if the request is approved and must be paid within 24 hours of approval
  • Late submissions may not be considered
  • Extensions are intended to support student success and must be completed within the designated time frame - they are not an opportunity to retake the full course.
