Airport Welcome Booth for International Students
Welcome to Edmonton! When you arrive at Edmonton International Airport (YEG), visit the Edmonton Post-Secondary School Airport Welcome Booth on the arrivals level. Friendly volunteers will be available to welcome you and help with important arrival information, including transportation options, directions to campus, food services, and other helpful resources.

Open hours: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. MDT

Taxi Coupon for New International Students
New international students arriving at NAIT for Fall 2026 are eligible for a CAD $25 taxi Coupon to help cover transportation costs from Edmonton International Airport to their local destination in Edmonton.
Eligibility
- You must be a first-time international student starting at NAIT in Fall 2026, and
- Your taxi ride must take place between August 1 and 31, 2026.
About the Voucher
- The voucher covers a one-way taxi ride from the Edmonton International airport to your Edmonton address.
- Taxi fares typically range from CAD $20 to $96, depending on destination. More details can be found on this link

Receiving Your Taxi Coupon
After registering for your taxi coupon, you will receive your coupon by email in about 3 to 5 business days.
The coupon is personalized and must be printed and brought with you. Redemption instructions will be included in the email.
The taxi coupon is only available for arrivals between August 1 and August 31, 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed but you still arrive during Welcome Booth hours (11 a.m. to 9 p.m. MDT, August 17 – 31, 2026), volunteers will assist you upon arrival with luggage pickup and direction to ground transportation.
If your delay causes you to arrive outside booth hours, follow the instructions on your taxi coupon email and on the airport transportation page https://flyeia.com/parking-transportation/ to search for ground transportation.
Can I share the taxi coupon with a friend/family member?
Yes, if your friend or family member is sharing the same taxi ride with you from the airport, the voucher can be applied to that ride. However, vouchers cannot be shared or duplicated for other rides or individuals.
Can I use the voucher with any taxi company or with Uber?
The voucher cannot be used for Uber or other rideshare services.
Students arriving during booth hours will receive directions from volunteers. Students arriving outside booth hours will receive instructions by email along with their coupon.
What are the different options for ground transportation at the Edmonton International Airport?
What if I no longer need the taxi voucher I registered for?
No problem! You do not need to notify us if you choose not to use the voucher. However, please note that the voucher is non-transferable and will expire after the date you registered for.
