Global Engagement Micro-credential
Ready to Stand Out in a Global World?
Join the NAIT Global Engagement Microcredential (GEM)
No matter what you’re studying—business, tech, trades, health, design or anything in between—the ability to work across cultures is a major advantage in today’s world. That’s where GEM comes in.
This microcredential is your chance to build real-world intercultural skills, connect with diverse communities, and gain experience that sets you apart—on campus and in your future career.
In GEM, you’ll:
- Discover your own intercultural strengths through an Intercultural Effectiveness Scale (IES) assessment
- Complete short online modules and personal reflections
- Take part in an Indigenous learning experience
- Volunteer in an intercultural setting on campus
- Create a final project that ties it all together
- Choose fun electives that match your interests
You’ll have a full year to complete about 45 hours of flexible, self-paced learning.
When you finish, you’ll earn a microcredential you can showcase on your resume, LinkedIn, and beyond.
Students are responsible for the $75 cost of the IES assessment.
