The Prospective Aboriginal Youth Program

The Prospective Aboriginal Youth  program establishes relationships between NAIT and Aboriginal youth in Alberta and across Canada. The program actively engages communities and increases awareness of NAIT academic programs and services, including the Nîsôhkamâtotân Centre.

The PAY Program is offered throughout the year to high schools and organizations in rural communities, the Edmonton Metro area, and Edmonton surrounding areas. Prospective students are provided with the opportunity to experience the inviting community the centre offers. During PAY Program events, prospective students meet with Nîsôhkamâtotân Centre staff and have the opportunity to check out NAIT’s highlighted program(s).

NAIT PAY events are a half day or a full day engagement which incorporate NAIT fulltime programs and trade/apprenticeship options. The events  take place at NAIT Main Campus and satellite campuses in Edmonton, Alberta.

Guest speakers, including NAIT’s Aboriginal Student Ambassadors, share their personal success stories with participants and provide first-hand perspectives on NAIT’s full-time academic, apprenticeship and trades programs.
