Creating Energy Partnerships

Understand the international upstream oil and gas business

The international exploration and production business has changed significantly since 2014. Technological advancements, environmental, economic, and socio-political factors are all important change-drivers. Players in this sector need a current understanding of the market, leadership and decision-making skills required to attract investment dollars. This program will inform you about the concepts that influence oil and gas exploration and develop investment decisions. It provides hands-on training in risk management and strategic decision making for successful international exploration and production initiatives.

This 20-hour course provides you with an understanding of how western exploration and production (E&P) companies make capital investment decisions.

While this course focuses on sub-Saharan onshore African hydrocarbon basins, the core principles apply to any other onshore continental basins. Jurisdictions with potential onshore oil and gas accumulations need to work differently to attract investors/partners. NAIT and CanAfrica’s expertise will help your organization gain the insight required to compete in today’s energy environment.

If you are responsible for attracting or managing the significant dollars required for onshore oil and gas exploration and development projects, this course is for you!
