English Summer Language Program

Get a taste of Edmonton this summer!

Tour around Edmonton and area while learning the basics of the English language. Explore the River Valley, visit West Edmonton Mall, and enjoy the summer festivals.

Course outcomes

  • Build your confidence through communication with both native speakers and other English language learners,
  • Meet new friends from around the world,
  • Learn about Canadian culture and improve intercultural competence,
  • Practice your English in a safe space and within an authentic context,
  • Improve your fluency and pronunciation,
  • Collaborate with classmates to create a final group project,
  • Receive a Certificate of Completion,
  • Best of all, explore Edmonton! Three excursions per week.

Program dates and schedule

This is a two week course taking place in late August. Monday to Friday, class takes place from 9:00 am to 11:45 am. In the afternoon, we go on excursions or you can explore the city from 1:00 pm  to 4:00 pm.

Events and excursions 

During the program, our team will plan different activities to help you experience the local culture. These activities are free as part of your summer program. If you have specific interests or hobbies, your instructor can help you find things to do. Here are some examples of what students have done in the past, but remember, the activities change every summer.

Tuition

$1765 CAD for the two week course 

  • Includes: 25 hours of instruction and 6 excursions (3 per week) around Edmonton.

  • Does not include: Our team will be happy to provide accommodation suggestions upon request, but NAIT does not provide accommodations.

Program Eligibility: Non-native English speakers who are 18 years old and above.
