A Day in the Life Contest

Calling all NAIT International Students! 

Get a chance to win from three amazing prizes, all you need to do is make your video detailing a day in the life of a NAIT international student, post it to your YouTube channel, and share it on your social media. 

Want to make more than one video? We love your ambition! You can definitely make more than one video and choose your favourite to enter the contest.

Video requirements 

Capture what a typical day looks like for you as an international student, showcase your classes, student life at NAIT, or your favourite parts about living in Edmonton, Alberta. 

• Video length: 30 seconds – 2 minutes 

• Upload the video to YouTube (can be Videos or Shorts), don't forget to make it public!

• Can be in a vertical or horizontal ratio  

• Each video must include hashtags #NAIT, #NAITintl, and #NAITInternationalStudent, as well as the phrase: “This video was created as part of the NAIT A Day in the Life of an International Student Contest”

• Share your video on other social media platforms and tag @nait and @naitintl. Don't forget to make the post public!

• Content language should be in English only 

Videos must be uploaded between February 12, 2025 at 8:00 am Mountain Standard Time and March 12, 2025 at 6:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time. All content must be original, created by the entrant, and must not infringe on any third-party rights (including copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property). The entrant must have the consent of any person featured in the video.

Prizes

Entrants have a chance to win the following prizes: 

• 1st Place: $1000 Visa Gift card 
• 2nd Place: Go Pro Camera ($500 value)
• 3rd Place: $200 Shop at NAIT gift card

A committee will first prescreen all entries to disqualify any that do not adhere to these Rules. Of the entries that qualify, the committee will then choose the winners using structured evaluation criteria considering quality of video and performance (50%), depth of content (45%), and level (proportionate to the entrant’s social media presence) of video engagement on social media (impressions, likes, comments, and shares) (5%).

Winners will be notified by March 19, 2025 to the email address they registered with, and have until March 26, 2025 at 4:30 pm Mountain Daylight Time to claim their prize before a new winner is chosen. 

How to enter

This contest is open only to current NAIT International Students. NAIT staff, including full-time, part-time, contract, or casual staff, are not eligible for this contest.

Entrants must fill out the submission form and answer a skill testing question below to be eligible at a chance to win the prizes.
