Join NAIT Career Services for our virtual Job Talk every Tuesday from 12  to  1 p.m. and Wednesday from 3  to  4 p.m.

During Job Talk, our career advisors will provide helpful information to support you with your job search and career development. You'll have an opportunity to connect with other NAIT students and alumni, to learn and to reflect on your career journey and to ask your most pressing questions about your job search and future career.

Job Talk sessions are open to current NAIT students and alumni. A different topic will be covered each week, and you can view more information about upcoming sessions below. If you have suggestions for a future topic, you can submit your ideas here.

Goal Setting 101

We'll go through the SMART Strategy for goal setting and talk about how it can be applied to setting career and job search goals. Given how important your resume is, we encourage you to take advantage of our drop-in resume reviews, delivered in collaboration with our industry guests. Get bite-sized quality career advice directly from employers. These reviews are 15 minutes in length and are an opportunity for you to take your resume to new level.

Industry Resume Reviews will be taking place in-person on the right side of the Students Service Centre, room CAT 180. 

Industry mock interviews

Wednesday, March 29, 2023 | 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.

A mock interview mirrors an actual job interview. It gives you an opportunity to practice what to say and do during an interview and get expect feedback from an industry professional.

Industry mock interviews will be taking place in-person. All students are asked to check in at Career Services desk on the right side of Student Service Centre, room CAT 180, at 11:30 a.m. (March 28) or 1:30 p.m. (March 29) to get their time slot and their industry guest’s details. Students may then use the time before their scheduled time slot to research the employer, prepare their questions and hone their elevator pitch.
