Industry Engagement

At NAIT, we pride ourselves on our strong connections to the industries that drive Alberta. Our apprenticeship programs are designed to provide students with hands-on, practical experience that align with current industry standards, for a strong trades workforce.

In addition to our commitment to apprenticeship education, we are committed to providing our industry partners with the opportunity to connect, engage, and support our students.

Industry Consultation

Each year, our programs are reviewed by members of our Apprentice Advisory Councils to ensure students are learning everything they need to be successful in the workforce. Topics discussed include program curriculum and desired outcomes, new industry innovations and challenges and program needs such as equipment, work-integrated learning participants and field trip opportunities.

The education we provide includes training with industry-standard tools and equipment, field trips and labs that provide hands-on learning, and work-integrated learning experiences that puts student learning to the test.

Support and Giving

The support from our industry partners is immensely valuable to the success of our apprenticeship student experiences. Learn more about the ways your organization can give back to NAIT.
