Learn the process of how to layout, measure, and execute a project from paper to completion. Use precise forging and traditional joinery to make a beautiful and functional hammer rack for your forge. Skills covered in the course will include slit and drift joinery and tooling design, precision upset square corners, and friction fit wedge joinery. Focus will be on accurate drawing and measuring to produce an intentional forging and deliberate outcome. Experience with slit and drift would be a benefit, but not a necessity. Confidence in yourself to wield a hammer, awareness of the high degree of fortitude necessary to be a blacksmith, and knowledge of material movement would be a good baseline.
