BMTC2410 - Biomedical Management
The Biomedical Management course examines the current organizational structures in Canadian healthcare. Federal and provincial codes, policies, and standards for the maintenance of medical devices are interpreted as well as the professional obligations outlined in Canadian privacy and OH&S legislation. Risk management requirements and practices in Clinical Engineering will be investigated. Common employment models and the professional practice expectations for typical Biomedical Engineering Technologist career paths will be compared.
This course is available to students in the Biomedical Engineering Technology and the Biomedical Engineering Technology Co-op programs. Prerequisites: ENGL1238, PMGT2321.
