What successful grads have to say
"Our current World is one where pollution plays a big role in the health of all its inhabitants. As humans, we need to commit to healing all its ecosystems so that the future inhabitants of the Earth can enjoy it. The Environmental Sciences program provided me with the knowledge I needed to reach this goal and, at the same time, gave me a space to meet people that think alike and that have become not only my friends, but my future colleagues. I believe it is worth mentioning that we are the reflection of our mentors, and the Instructors at NAIT always made me feel that their main goal was to make us, as students, be the best version of ourselves. Thanks to them, now the word "problem" is not part of my vocabulary; the word "challenge" has come to substitute it. Challenges are always overcome and for each challenge that I face, there is always a solution I can find thanks to the knowledge I have been provided with."
"During the Program, I had the opportunity to participate in an International Genetic Engineering Machine (iGEM) Competition and to present our experimental data in Boston. NAIT and Alberta Innovate Technology Futures provided our Team the necessary tools to succeed in this venture. I am grateful to have been part of it because, due to it, an extraordinary opportunity was presented to me. Currently, I am doing my Master's Degree studies at the University of Alberta. This was an opportunity offered to me because of my performance during iGEM. NAIT was my first step; now, I am sure that the forthcoming steps will be the beginning of my trail on making our World a healthier, cleaner place."
