An instructor-led program abroad is a combination of intensive learning and travel. Join a group of students as you experience a new country and culture with a NAIT instructor. This opportunity is a great way to gain international experience and intercultural competency.
Current field school opportunities
Alternative Energy Technology Clean Energy Project in Peru
Global Energy Issues and Intercultural Competency (ALTE2747) is a 3-credit class that includes classroom/online learning during the regular winter semester (January to April) and ends with a clean energy installation project in a remote community in Peru in early May.
Details
Open to: Any full-time student at NAIT in any program. No experience with clean energy systems is needed.
Costs: Approximately $5100 per student. Learn about funding options available.
Travel dates: end of April - early May (usually an eleven-day travel period)

Culinary Arts School Abroad
Students from the Culinary Arts program will get to spend a month abroad putting into practice their cooking skills under the supervision of the Program Chair and other instructors.

Open to: Culinary Arts program students only
Costs: between $1300 - 1800 (flight, accommodations) plus spending money. Learn about funding options available.
