In this course students will characterize and classify hydro power and hydro power generation technologies. Students will analyze and determine hydro power potential in a given grid or isolated load system, and become familiar with operations and maintenance issues. Students will also become familiar with aspects of Alberta's electric grid, micro-generator status and the effects of legislation and rulings upon energy costs.
