This course will provide the opportunity to learn and apply the basic concepts and the operating theory of an automotive brake system. The service and repair of master cylinders, power assist boosters, drum brakes, disc brakes, and park brakes will be taught. The student will be given instruction on machining practices, both on and off the vehicle. The safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials associated with brake repair work will be highlighted.
