To produce accurate transcripts of the spoken word, it is essential to have a strong understanding of English grammar, punctuation, and mechanics principles. This course provides students with an in-depth study of parts of speech, basic grammar rules, and essential punctuation and mechanics principles which will be applied to introductory transcripts. Spelling and vocabulary development will also be studied.
