The Community and Business Experience is an independent-study course designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply practical aspects of business theory to organizations. This course enables students to demonstrate that they are capable of completing challenging assignments in the sector of the business world in which they might choose to pursue their careers. This course is designed to facilitate student involvement in a participating organization. Under the supervision of a mentor in the organization, the student will become involved in the chosen organization as a volunteer and/or temporary employee. This involvement might include project or committee work, working with the client base (if applicable), and attending meetings as required. This course is available only with approval of the relevant Program Chair.
