Principles in Chemistry I

This course will familiarize the students with fundamental chemistry concepts. Atomic structure, types of chemical bonding and intermolecular interactions, chemical calculations, acid-base chemistry, and the structure and properties of matter in the gaseous state will be discussed. The laboratory component will emphasize concepts learned in class, laboratory techniques, and the importance of keeping laboratory records.
