This course covers the materials, properties, design, and construction of portland cement concrete and asphalt concrete pavement mixtures. Students will design pavement mixtures and conduct trial batching for determination of compliance with specifications. The course includes a comparison between AASHTO and Superpave asphalt mix design methods.
