During this course, students will examine Linux and Windows computer operating and data communications across various protocols. Operating system management, maintenance and virtual machine (VM) implementations are covered as well as serial communication such as RS-232 and 485. Wireless and wired networks are constructed and managed and connections made using the client/server model and peer-to-peer communications.
