This course examines the structural analysis and design aspects of reinforced concrete structures. Topics include basic terms and concepts; structural load and worst loading combination calculations; determination of design parameters; structural analysis and design of suitable structural members; interpretation and assessment of structural and shop drawings for code checks; and selection of appropriate formwork and falsework systems according to current Canadian Codes applying the principles of Limit States Design and current construction practice.
