Oral Health Education and Promotion

Requisites: Prerequisites: DEAS1123, IPCD1171. A completion grade of C- in all prerequisite courses is required to enroll.

Students will teach patients homecare techniques that promote optimal oral health. The importance of lifestyle choices; nutritional needs for oral health; and the role of soft dental deposits, calculus and stain as they contribute to oral diseases will be studied.
