Introduction to Abdominal Sonography and Peritoneal Pathology

Students learn relational anatomy including cross-sectional anatomy, physiology of organs and systems of the normal abdomen. Pathological presentations of the liver, biliary tract, spleen, gastrointestinal tract, and peritoneum will be studied. Students will develop skills and sonographic techniques necessary to image abdominal structures as part of a complete abdominal scan.
