This course will build on the student's previous knowledge and skills of the fabrication of conventional complete dentures. Techniques to improve the efficiency and productivity of previously learned processes will be taught. Emphasis will be placed on the students' preparation for employment in the commercial laboratory environment. Students will learn treatment options and practical case work involving dental implants for completely edentulous patients. Techniques of acrylic injection processing, use of self-curing acrylics for implant transfer aids, artificial tooth selection, lingualized occlusion, and CAD design will be applied through completion of practical case work.
