Analog and Digital Fundamentals

ELTR1110

  • Requisites: This course is available to students in the Nanotechnology Systems program. Prerequisite: MATH1112.
  • Course Equivalencies:
  • Open Studies: Not Available
  • Credits: 3.00

This course provides an introduction to analog and digital electronics. Fundamental, practical applications of electronic instruments, used in the nanotechnology industry, are presented throughout the course. Students become familiar with electric, electronic, and digital circuits used in nanotechnology equipment. Electric circuit analysis methodologies are considered that are applicable to micro- and nano-electronics. The goal of this lab course is to establish skills and knowledge necessary for the understanding of electronics and digital control systems, and electronic equipment encountered in nano-scale fabrication as well as the electronics industry. Students will also develop competencies in troubleshooting, design, and techniques for optimization.
