This course focuses on using remote sensing methods with particular emphasis on forest landscapes using the Alberta Vegetation Inventory (AVI) as a classification tool. Students learn how to use survey systems, map and photo scale, and interpretation methodology and principles through a variety of field and classroom activities. This course will increase confidence in field program planning and navigation.
