This course focuses on the identification and use of common vegetative species found in Western Canada. Students will learn about various ecosystems and their implications for reforestation decisions. Students will also conduct tree planting and quality assessments to learn about Alberta silviculture planting practices with a focus on how they relate to microsite and reforestation decisions.
