This course introduces the concepts and skills required to plan and locate a resource road. There are four broad objectives in this course: locating a forest road to specification, utilizing road engineering software to generate a road plan, measuring and recording data in field conditions and identifying the components of various water-course crossings. In addition, the use of the Third System of Survey (ATS) and map scale will be reinforced as a foundational skill.
