This course develops a further understanding of previously introduced forest harvesting topics by expanding on harvesting systems and their management. Operational planning is emphasized through the development of detailed block designs, comparison of machinery types and productivity, calculating the cost of equipment ownership, evaluating log haul logistics and predicting the total cost of a project.
