Safety, health, and environmental training is not only important for employment in the industry, as knowledge and skills gained aids in the prevention of workplace injuries, but also meets legal requirements, reduces risk, reduces costs, increases efficiency, and supports the efficacy of corporate cultures that focus on social awareness and good citizenship. Students learn the foundations of Occupation Health and Safety management and how to identify industrial hazards to mitigate their impact. In addition to obtaining a variety of in-demand and mandatory industry certifications, students participate in active hands-on learning during First Aid & CPR/AED, H2S AliveĀ®, and wilderness survival training.
