This course considers common sources of contamination and the behavior of contaminants in the subsurface; special attention is placed on organic contaminants. Topics include contaminants and contaminant sources, advection and hydrodynamic dispersion, retardation and attenuation, flow in the vadose zone, and multi-phase flow in saturated media.
