This course deals with two main components; the monitoring and remediation of environmental sites. Monitoring is a mandatory requirement for all resource development projects. Students will examine the purpose and design of monitoring systems, with a specific focus on groundwater monitoring, develop an environmental monitoring plan, and analyze data from existing monitoring programs. The remediation component examines the latest technologies in soil and groundwater remediation to evaluate the applicability of these technologies in various contaminated environments.
