This course introduces students to the Phases and procedures for conducting an Environmental Site Assessment (ESA). In addition to providing an overview of the regulatory requirements for ESAs, students will complete a Phase I ESA on a selected site, meeting the standards outlined in the CSA Z768-01 document and the most current Guidelines required by Alberta Environment and Parks. Students will then develop a Phase II ESA, including a sample and analysis plan, based on the Alberta Tier I Soil and Groundwater Remediation Guidelines (2014).
