This course provides a basic understanding of the conceptual and practical aspects of allocating financial rewards to employees by examining current principles, procedures, issues and problems in the area of managing pay. Specifically, the subjects of job analysis, job evaluation, wage and salary structures, and types of compensation plans will be covered. Class exercises will provide practical experience in job analysis interviewing, job description writing, and the conduct of job evaluation.
